BESPOKE
COURSE MATERIAL
Enter the new
electronic age and convert your existing courses to Interactive
Computer Based materials, suitable for learning from a PC workstation
via the hard disk, CD ROM, or over your Intranet. This will give you
and your staff the flexibility and convenience of receiving training
when it is needed at a time when it can be accommodated and at a
price that is cost effective.
Computer based
training is fast becoming the most adaptable tool in industry giving
all the benefits of classroom training but with much faster and more
retentive results.
We can convert
your existing material to fully interactive courses for a fraction of
the costs of having staff away on courses, incurring hotel bills,
travel and lost production, all multiplied up by the numbers of staff attending.
We are also able
to write new courses specifically for your own company using your own
systems, procedures and policies. Whether it be for Induction, Health
and Safety, Environment, Procedural, Technical, or just to tell your
visitors or contractors about yourself you'll find that this new
media will pay back in a very short period of time.

INDUCTION
TRAINING PROGRAMMES
One of the most
commonly run courses in industry is the Induction programme, and
probably one of the most expensive, mainly because it has to be
carried out as soon as possible after the new employee joins the the
company. Secondly there is no real control over how many new entrants
there may be it could be one or twenty.
If you already
have an induction programme Artisan can re-author this for you to
make it into an interactive computer based training programme that
will use all the media for getting the message across. Graphics to
show who the people are, sounds to demonstrate evacuation and
emergency signals, video to demonstrate your own products and safety procedures.
British law now
requires that all new employees are given induction training
particularly in the areas of health and safety, this type of training
will track the employees performance and automatically keep records
of feedback questions, another bonus when it comes to keeping records.
If you don't have
a formal Induction programme in existence, we can write one for you.

PROMOTIONS
OR ELECTRONIC CATALOGUES ON CD ROM
Promote your
company by sending your customers a CD ROM containing all you want to
tell about your products, services, quality assurance procedures,
personnel policies, or any other type of information.
By making the CD
interactive and interesting it will encourage the recipient to look
at it and pass it on their colleagues to have a look.
Many aspects of
Multimedia can be included to give maximum enhancement to your
message, including audio, video, animations, graphics, music,
simulations, drawings, 3D and interviews.
Similarly using
the same range of multimedia facilities and interactivity you can
send your customers a complete interactive electronic catalogue on CD
ROM Show and tell all about your company and its products and
services, the customers choose their own route through the catalogue
clicking on words, graphics and hot spots to navigate to what they
want to know.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTION AND SIMULATIONS
The cost of
sending Engineers or instructional staff to customers' premises
(which may be a long distance away) can be very inhibiting, this can
be considerably alleviated by supplying a complete interactive
training course on how to operate, maintain and install your
equipment all on one CD ROM In fact a whole maintenance manual can be
included as well.
Just send the
customer the CD he can then train as many people as he wants. If the
type of equipment is such that it lends itself to it we can include a
simulation of the machine on the CD so that operation becomes
virtual. Which means that a simulated operation can be carried out on
the computer before attempting to operate the real machine. This can
then be used to highlight any difficulties for the operator and bring
them to their attention before any damage is done either to the
person or the machine.
The Supply of
Machinery Regulations requires that machine manufactures' provide
adequate information, instruction and guidance on the safe operation
of the equipment supplied. Providing it in this manner can be a
convenient and easily checked method to demonstrate that this has
been carried out effectively.

OPERATION
and MAINTENANCE MANUALS
The combination of
training expertise, technical background and the capability to
present material in a way that is understood by the audience at whom
it is aimed, enables us to make a further specialisation in the
production of technical manuals.
These manuals may
be for the purposes of maintenance, training, or operation when
related to a particular piece of machinery, equipment or system.
We can produce
manuals to your own specification or to B.S.S. as required. Our
authors are experienced engineers and trainers who have produced
manuals to support the maintenance and operation of of highly
sophisticated automation equipment for the motor vehicle industry, to
the somewhat less demanding although equally as important tasks of
routine operational procedures for processing machinery in the food industry.
Whatever your
requirement we are able to research, produce, print and package in
either the traditional hard copy format or as an electronic version
on interactive CD or alternatively Intranet distribution.
